Supporting Sustainable Growth and Future Competitiveness through Responsible Management Evaluation

 

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 세계청년리더총연맹(World Federation of Power Leaders, WFPL)이 설립한 책임경영 평가전문기관으로서, 기업 및 공공기관의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 미래 경쟁력(Future Competitiveness), 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하기 위하여 설립되었다.

The Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) is a specialized Responsible Management evaluation institution established by the World Federation of Power Leaders (WFPL) to objectively and systematically evaluate the Sustainability, Responsible Management, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, Future Competitiveness, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of corporations and public institutions.

 

SEC는 객관적이고 독립적인 평가를 통해 조직의 현재 수준을 진단하는 데 그치지 않고, 미래 경쟁력과 장기 가치창출 역량을 함께 분석함으로써 기업과 공공기관의 지속가능한 성장과 책임경영 혁신을 지원하는 것을 설립 목적으로 한다.

SEC was established not only to objectively and independently assess an organization's current performance but also to evaluate its future competitiveness and long-term value creation capability, thereby supporting sustainable growth and Responsible Management innovation.

 

 

설립 배경 (Background)

 

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관을 둘러싼 경영환경은 기후변화, 탄소중립, 디지털 전환, 인공지능(AI), 글로벌 공급망 재편, 인권 보호, 사이버 보안 및 윤리경영 강화 등 급격한 변화를 맞이하고 있다.

Today, corporations and public institutions operate in an environment shaped by climate change, carbon neutrality, digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), global supply chain restructuring, human rights protection, cybersecurity, and strengthened ethical governance.

 

이러한 변화 속에서 조직의 경쟁력은 재무적 성과뿐 아니라 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability), 미래 경쟁력(Future Competitiveness) 및 장기 가치창출(Long-Term Value Creation)에 의해 결정되고 있다.

In this rapidly evolving environment, organizational competitiveness is increasingly determined not only by financial performance but also by Sustainability, Responsible Management, Social Value, Innovation Capability, Future Competitiveness, and Long-Term Value Creation.

 

기존 ESG는 기업 및 공공기관의 비재무 성과와 위험관리 수준을 평가하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔다. 그러나 지속가능한 성장과 미래 경쟁력을 보다 종합적으로 이해하기 위해서는 혁신역량, 미래 대응 역량(Future Readiness) 및 장기 가치창출 역량까지 함께 고려하는 평가가 요구되고 있다.

Conventional ESG has played an important role in assessing non-financial performance and risk management. However, a more comprehensive evaluation that also considers Innovation Capability, Future Readiness, and Long-Term Value Creation is increasingly required to better understand sustainable growth and future competitiveness.

 

이러한 시대적 요구에 따라 SEC는 기업과 공공기관의 책임경영 수준과 미래 경쟁력을 객관적이고 체계적으로 평가하기 위한 독립적인 책임경영 평가전문기관으로 설립되었다.

In response to these evolving demands, SEC was established as an independent Responsible Management evaluation institution dedicated to objectively and systematically assessing Responsible Management and future competitiveness.

 

 

설립 목적 (Purpose)

 

SEC는 기업과 공공기관의 지속가능성과 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 평가하고, 미래 경쟁력과 장기 가치창출 역량을 함께 분석함으로써 조직의 지속가능한 성장과 사회적 신뢰 제고에 기여하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

SEC aims to objectively evaluate the Sustainability and Responsible Management performance of corporations and public institutions while assessing their future competitiveness and long-term value creation capability, thereby contributing to sustainable growth and enhanced public trust.

 

이를 위해 SEC는 독자적인 연구를 통해 개발한 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 기반으로 평가(Evaluation), 등급(Rating), 인증(Certification), 분석(Analysis), 연구(Research)를 유기적으로 연계하여 운영하고 있다.

To achieve this mission, SEC operates an integrated system that organically connects Evaluation, Rating, Certification, Analysis, and Research based on the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), developed through its own independent research.

Research on Responsible Management evaluation methodologies and related policies.

Based on objective and independent evaluations, SEC assesses both current organizational performance and future competitiveness while supporting sustainable growth through industry analysis and research.
