What is the WFSRI?

 

WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)는 SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)가 독자적으로 개발·운영하는 공식 책임경영 평가체계로서 기업 및 공공기관(Corporations and Public Institutions)의 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 비재무 리스크 관리역량(Non-Financial Risk Management Capability), 혁신역량(Innovation Capability) 및 장기 가치창출 역량(Long-Term Value Creation Potential)을 종합적으로 평가하기 위하여 개발되었다.

The WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI) is the official Responsible Management Evaluation Framework independently developed and operated by the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC). It is designed to comprehensively assess the Sustainability, Responsible Management, Non-Financial Risk Management Capability, Innovation Capability, and Long-Term Value Creation Potential of Corporations and Public Institutions.

WFSRI는 기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance)의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 포함하는 동시에 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics) 및 혁신가치(Innovation Value)를 함께 반영하는 확장형 책임경영 평가체계이다.

The WFSRI is an expanded Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that incorporates the core values and evaluation principles of ESG while additionally integrating Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value.

 

 

개발 목적

Purpose of Development

 

WFSRI는 기업 및 공공기관의 현재 책임경영 수준을 객관적으로 진단하고 지속적인 개선과 혁신을 지원함으로써 지속가능한 발전과 장기적인 가치창출을 촉진하기 위하여 개발되었다.

The WFSRI was developed to objectively assess the current level of responsible management among corporations and public institutions while supporting continuous improvement, innovation, sustainable development, and long-term value creation.

 

 

평가 대상

WFSRI는 기업 및 공공기관을 대상으로 적용되는 책임경영 평가체계이며, 조직의 정책, 제도, 운영체계, 실행성과 및 지속적인 개선 노력을 종합적으로 평가한다.

The WFSRI is a Responsible Management Evaluation Framework applicable to corporations and public institutions. It comprehensively evaluates organizational policies, governance systems, operational frameworks, implementation performance, and continuous improvement efforts.

WFSRI는 단순한 평가지표를 넘어 SEC WFSRI Rating, ESG·WFSRI 평가분석센터 및 WFPL ESG 인증제도의 기반이 되는 핵심 평가체계로서 평가(Evaluation), 분석(Analysis), 인증(Certification)을 유기적으로 연계하는 통합 책임경영 플랫폼의 역할을 수행한다.

Beyond serving as an evaluation framework, the WFSRI forms the foundation of the SEC WFSRI Rating, the ESG·WFSRI Evaluation & Analysis Center, and the WFPL ESG Certification Program. It functions as an integrated Responsible Management platform that organically connects Evaluation, Analysis, and Certification.

오늘날 기업 및 공공기관의 경쟁력은 단순한 재무적 성과만으로 평가되지 않는다. 지속가능성(Sustainability), 책임경영(Responsible Management), 공공가치(Public Value), 사회적 가치(Social Value), 공동체 가치(Community Value), 미래세대 보호(Protection of Future Generations), 디지털윤리(Digital Ethics), 혁신가치(Innovation Value) 및 비재무 리스크 관리역량은 조직의 장기적인 성장과 사회적 신뢰를 결정하는 핵심 요소로 자리 잡고 있다.

Today, the competitiveness of corporations and public institutions is no longer measured solely by financial performance. Sustainability, Responsible Management, Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, Innovation Value, and Non-Financial Risk Management Capability have become essential factors in determining long-term growth and stakeholder trust.

 

 

기존 ESG 평가체계의 한계

Limitations of Conventional ESG Assessment

 

기존 ESG(Environment, Social, Governance) 평가체계는 조직의 환경(Environment), 사회(Social) 및 지배구조(Governance)를 중심으로 지속가능성을 평가하는 데 중요한 역할을 수행해 왔다. 그러나 사회적 가치 창출, 공동체 가치, 미래세대 보호, 디지털윤리 및 혁신역량과 같은 새로운 책임경영 요소를 종합적으로 반영하는 데에는 일정한 한계가 있었다.

Conventional ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) assessment frameworks have played an important role in evaluating organizational sustainability. However, they have shown limitations in comprehensively reflecting emerging responsible management elements such as Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Capability.

SEC(Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission)는 이러한 시대적 변화에 대응하여 기업 및 공공기관이 지속가능한 발전 역량을 강화하고 책임경영 수준을 지속적으로 향상시킬 수 있는 새로운 평가체계의 필요성을 인식하였다.

In response to these evolving expectations, the Sustainable Enterprise Evaluation Commission (SEC) recognized the need for a new evaluation framework that enables corporations and public institutions to strengthen sustainable development capability and continuously improve responsible management performance.

 

이에 따라 ESG의 기본 가치와 평가원칙을 존중하면서도 공공가치, 사회적 가치, 공동체 가치, 미래세대 보호, 디지털윤리 및 혁신가치를 함께 반영하는 책임경영 중심의 평가체계인 WF책임경영지수(WFSRI)를 개발하였다.

Accordingly, while respecting the core values and evaluation principles of ESG, SEC developed the WF Sustainable Responsibility Index (WFSRI), a Responsible Management Evaluation Framework that additionally incorporates Public Value, Social Value, Community Value, Protection of Future Generations, Digital Ethics, and Innovation Value.
